This menu-selection allows the radio-user to transmit a Conventional Selective Call or a Trunking Private Call. The radio user must select the required Contact / Call ID and then press the PTT button to initiate the Call. Calls are targeted based on the Call ID selected from the channel's Call Hot List or entered directly by the radio-user. Selective Calls and Private Calls are intended not so much to ensure privacy but rather to eliminate the annoyance of users receiving traffic that does not pertain to them.
